Time Display in FD3 or Skin Editor - where?

Postby MaxSound » Sat Feb 18, 2012 11:33 am

Hello,

I really enjoy the new skin of FD3 with the vertical Beatdisplays (good idea from Serato  I hope colors will follow soon, too :) )
But one lack for me in this skin is, that I have to press a button to see elapsed or rest time, in the old skins I can see both times at the same time.
I know, space on desktop is rare, but e.g. I don´t need to see the scratch wheel, it´s just a visual unnecessary gimmick for me.

I have read a lot about a (beta?) skin editor in this forum, but didn´t find a download link? Where can I get it to do above changes on my own?

Thx a lot

ok, i finally found the Editor in the News Section, adapted the 2 files by myself and it works!!!
The only thing - the editor destroys the vertical display section, you have to copy it manually from the original XML to the new one (the part before the Button-Config starts).

Yes, that is correct. The editor can't handle the JavaScript that the vertical waveform uses.
Have fun ;)

Unfortunately that is a limitation of the skin editor. For advanced stuff (like tabs, scripting, etc) you need to edit the file manually (at least part of it).
