Hi,
I was wondering about this in another post, but since this post is about wishes:
- I'd like a light version of FD, or some cfg options which would allow to require a less powerfull cpu, in order to run on a netbook.
History behind that: I still have v1.5 which runs fine on my netbook (atom n450). I tried the v2, but since it's more demanding apparently, I get drop out that didn't occur with 1.5. Thus I stay on 1.5 and can't migrate
Note: this is with the bcd3000. I'll probably order soon a dedicated usb soundcard which may have better asio driver than the bcd, I hope so...

I wish that a pop up window wouldn't appear asking me, "Deck is playing in the Master. Load the song?" and which prevents the next song from starting while dj'ing with autodj ON. The feature makes sense with Autodj OFF, but not ON.

It would be nice to be able to store the samples instead of having to reload them everytime you start the program and also it would be nice to place compressed karaoke files like all the other software out there does so you wouldn't have to de-compress all your files to use.

I wish the loop functions wouldn't synchronize to the beat bars. So often the beat bars are wrong and so the loop functions become nearly impossible to use. Giving this option would be great. I know that another user (freedomdk) asked about this last year, but I just wanted to bring it up again. Can't wait for the new version (any version with 4 decks is going to win my heart).

I wish MIDI OUT... so when I press play button on my controller, the button light up...
So I not have to look anytime at the display to see... you know...

I wish to be able to select on my soundcard (M-Audio Delta 1010LT - ASIO MODE) the output for each deck or for master and headphones... not an auto select...
maybe I don't wanna use out 1-2 / 3-4... maybe I wanna use 3-4 and SPDif... or 5-6 / 7-8

I wish...FDPro could show the entire song waveform for song's longer than 15 minutes (that seems to be the length cutoff).

If we do this, the software would use a lot more memory ! It will be implemented at a certain point, just not now !

Chris, it's just a small wish. Also, ever think of downsampling the displayed waveforms to save memory (or maybe that's already being done).

i wish there was a listing of how or where to set MIDI functions in Future Decks

i cant find it anywhere in the program

where do i set midi learn
midi forget
and well..... anything MIDI?

I use a Mac and so I'm not sure if this totally translates to windows, but the file containing the midi info is named shortcuts_midi.fsm and is in the "settings" folder in the FutureDecks Pro folder within the Documents folder. I use the "learn" button on the FutureDecks Pro app and to unlearn, I go into the shortcuts_midi.fsm file (using a text editor program) and find the "action" that I want to unlearn and change the keyorcc="45" (where 45 is some midi key that you'd previously assigned the action to) back to keyorcc="-1".

i have a question here but i think you may have to goto the admin side of the forum and "split" the discussion at this point
since it pertains to a bit of help needed

im trying to use the MIDI LEARN as you described above but ( not to unlearn )
i am trying to assign functions to FD via the units

i think im doing it wrong?

for example
i clicked LEARN
then i selected the PLAY/PAUSE button on FD
while it was selected i pressed the PLAY/PAUSE on my XP10

that should have assigned it i suppose right?

then i clcked the LEARN button again to get out of that mode

and i went to my unit and click PLAY/PAUSE again
it doesnt exactly just PLAY

it plays a split second, and while i am releasing the button, it jumps to the original cue point and starts play there again

as if im double tapping it

im guessing its seeing BOTH midi notes? ( ON + OFF ) as each a single button press.
Which in htis case it should only be seeing ON as the note, and OFF for this button doesnt matter

Already planned and working internaly, they just need to reskin for it.

I'd like to be able to clear a single assignment without having to reassign it to another controller or keystroke, as part of the "Learn" feature, in particular with the computer keyboard (e.g. I only really need to be able to do this with the computer keyboard shortcuts). Perhaps a specific keystroke could be reserved for this "clear" function? Thank you.
