Fdpro 2 stops playing mid track

HI guys,

after alot of use over this festive period I have had no problems
unroll last night when mid set, the track just stopped playing, for
what reason I don't know!!! I was using a bcd2000 it was controlling
fine all buttons, slidders etc.... Where still operating the software
but the track would not play or the track on the other deck.
The only way I could get them to play was to restart the software,
has any come across this problem before.

Most likely a glitch in the BCD2000 ASIO driver which hanged the audio streaming.
However, we'll have a look at this.

found my wireless turned on, thought this was it but no,
it stopped on me again, same fault!!

Make sure you have the high-quality time-stretching option of OFF (disabled).
Your processor is not fast enough to allow it work as it should and hence the audio stops.

It's always been turned off, I've not had trouble with my system runningbit before??

That feature was introduced in FD Pro 2.0

I know that I ment it was working fine before.
Anyway I have stripped my pc back taken loads of programs off
it and turned loads of bits off on the start up, on msconfig.
worked fine for 5 hours last night. So fingers crossed this mite
have sorted it??!?!

Will keep posted on how it's going.

Hi guys,
just sated my set and 1 hour in it just stops playing music again, everything works on the midi interface using bcd2000
it reset it I need to go into config and in the dropdown midi input, it says no midi, but I have my bcd2000 hucked up to it.
I select the box and the it is bcd2000 so I select it press ok, then off I go again.
Why is this happening it didn't in fdpro 1.x.x

Please please please guys help me with this.

Hi guys,
I've had my fdpro 2 with my bcd2000 running for 3 days at 5-7 hours each day, and I've had no problems
so far, that's not to say I won't as this is just an update to let you know how I'm getting
on.
This is what i have done.
I updated my xp laptop to sp 3, updated with all avaliable updates from Microsoft website
including optional and hardware updates, which had an update for my laptop sound card driver!
After all these were updated I stripped all programs I don't need.
Then I went to the link on this forum regarding how to optimize your laptop,
and I followed this to every word.
Disabling things I don't need and turning off programs in msconfig etc etc...
So far so good.
Hope this will help someone who is having the same issues I'm having with fdpro and bcd2000.

I've tried so hard to get this right as I think fdpro is a great program and easy to use.

Would be nice if vim can shed a bit of light on this subject if there programers find anything.

ola users.I have had a similair situation on the laptop,not the home unit. Same loss of asio in the config. using fd pro2.0 not updated yet. i believe the bug in the browsing selection is serious enough not 2 do this, so lets get this fixed first please.. What makes the asio loss conection is strange by itself. The system is running stable. Any Suggestions?

Hi guys,

since my last post I've done 4 gigs @ 5 hours per gig,
it's run like a dream, the only think I can say is to look at
the config in this forum and follow it word for word.
It's worked for me.
All I have on my laptop is xp, fdpro2, and wmp11 to rip my CDs.

Very good news: we did find an issue inside FutureDecks Pro 2 which we already corrected.
It seems that on some occasions the ASIO driver just drops the connection and we were supposed to immediately re-make the connection.
For a strange reason the code did not make it in the 2.0.x version (even though it was in 1.5).

So, bottom line: you problem is solved but you'll have to wait for the next release -- which by the way is coming soon.
