Bit rate for recorded output incorrect (AIF files)

Standard bit rate for recorded output for AIF files on Mac should be:

BIT RATE: 1411 kbps
SAMPLE RATE: 44.100 kHz
SAMPLE SIZE: 16 bit

Bit rate of AIFF recordings is only about 10% (!!!!!) of the standard AIF quality:

BIT RATE: 128 kbps
SAMPLE RATE: 44.100 kHz
SAMPLE SIZE: 16 bit
