Hi! I certainly can do those things for you, however, i'm now off to work on a job and won't be back until tea-time tomorrow, so i'll sort those things out tomorrow evening.

Thanks for the input, i'll be in touch asap.

vim wrote:OK, we solved our own issue. The problem was that if one of the devices was multichannel, then the sound wouldn't come out on the second (monitor) one.
We now output to the first 8 channels (4 stereo channels). The first 2 channels (first stereo channel) will have the master signal and the next (up to 3) stereo channels will have the monitor (headphones) signal. I've no idea if this will help you in any way, but with this latest beta version we now have every single case scenario working just fine.

So, you might want to try the new beta (please note that even if it say 2.0.3 in the about box, is actually 2.0.4 beta)
http://www.futuredecks.com/site/downloa ... 4_beta.dmg

Some questions:
1). could you post an image with your iMic (because there are several hardware versions) or a link with the EXACT model that you have?
2). what exactly are the SoundFlower devices? Can you remove them?
3). have you tried using the software on a different computer with/without the iMic?
4). when FutureDecks starts, it is automatically creating an aggregate device. Can you please post an image with it (from Audio & MIDI Utility app)
5). do you have Terminal experience or can you provide remote access to your machine so that we will further investigate the problem?

I'm really eager to solve your issue as soon as possible

Ok: I've downloaded the Beta, still no luck i'm afraid. So, in answer to your questions....

1: My iMic (first model):

2: I've un-installed the Soundflower devices so they no longer can interfere.

3: I don't have access to another Mac to try the software unfortunately

4: Here is a snapshot of my Audio Midi preferences when FD is open and the iMic is connected:

5: I don't have any real Terminal experience, but i'm happy to have a go if you can help find a solution?

I've also got a couple of other screengrabs of the FD preferences. I just need you to confirm that the next picture is the correct way to have the prefs configured:

If I reverse the outputs (so the iMic is then the master output and FD's headphone monitior is then the Mac's built in speakers), I then get sound through the iMic, but nothing comes out of the Mac's speakers. Here's a screen grab to show you what I mean:

So, this tells me the iMic is working. However, I do notice that whenever I click 'Ok', next time I open FD's sound preferences, it always seems to default the 'Output Mode' back to 'Normal', as you can see here:

It's like it's not saving the preference. Is this normal behaviour?

Hope thats a little helpful! Let me know your thoughts,
Dan

The software actually corrects you, because the Built-in is NOT a multichannel soundcard.
So, you should have it on Normal if you are using a secondary audio device (soundcard) anyway.
I think the only way to solve this would be for us to dial into your computer and see what's happening.
I will send you a PM in a few minutes.

I'm going slightly mad here. I've spent ages trying different combinations to get the sound out of the main speakers, and the cue'd track through the headphones, but I can't achieve this. I have an iMic, and have set FD's settings to use the iMic as the device to monitor the next song. However, despite having the headphone crossfader set to the side I wish to monitor, I can't get anything to come out of the headphones through the iMic. Here's a screenshot of how I currently have it configured:

Hi guys, I am a new Mac OS user and I have a bit same problem like this one. The thing is I can figure how to control separately the volume of the headphone and the speaker. It is also possible to hear the next music in the play list in the Headphone before you can play it in the speakers?

Your looking for the PFL mix fader, this is just above the normal fader on the default skin, you'll want to move it towards the deck you want to hear in the headphones..
