General (main features):
Sound Archive PRO is a multichannel audio recorder which can be programmed to run automatically.
This is a fully professional application which only runs on multi-channel soundcards with ASIO drivers.
You can use all the soundcard's channels for recording -- every channel has it's own scheduller and can
run automatically or manually. You just add events to a channel (or to all) and the program automatically
does record/stop for you.
The events can be scheduled to run once or daily, weekly, monthly.
You just specify when the event starts and when it ends.
A handy feature is the auto silence detection. This can be enabled for any channel and
can save a lot of disk space. When it detects silence the recording continues for another 2 seconds
and if is still silence the recording is paused. When the silence stops (you can adjust the silence threshold level)
the channel instantly resumes recording, not missing a sample.
A very important feature (which you won't find anywhere else) is the hot-swapable save locations.
At one time only one location is in use. All the recorded audio data goes there. However, at some time this
location will run out of space or it will be manually removed (eg. a USB/Firewire hard-drive)
When this happens, the Sound Archive PRO, automatically selects the next available (and valid) location,
splitting the current recording files (on the old location and on the new location).
During this, NO DATA will be lost at all !
Practical applications:
You can use Sound Archive PRO for archiving of medium/large conferences, multiple radio stations,
trials/law-cases (in law courts), lectures (courses) in universities/colleges.
You can also use it for real-time recording of multiple audio sources, and surveillance (warning: this is illegal in almost all countries without proper authorizations).
