IMPORTANT: you need to have the Apple Camera Kit Connector in order to connect the USB cable to the iPad When I'm trying to pre-listen (cue) a song in the other deck, it doesn't work If you need headphones preview (cueing), use a special inexpensive adapter (called a Splitter) that splits the device stereo output so that the left channel will go to the speakers (master output) and right channel will go to the headphones (monitor). You also need to activate the Split Mode from the app's preferences. I have some tracks on the device that don't seem to work Maybe they are old DRMed files -- these simply won't work. Try with other non-DRM tracks. What is a cue point? A cue point records a position in a song for easy re-finding of good/interesting mixing positions. You may think of it as a bookmark in a book. Can I record my mixes? Yes, you can record your mixes in AIFF format. You can later retrieve the file in iTunes:
- connect the device to iTunes and select it
- choose the Apps tab and scroll down to File Sharing
- select Future DJ and you can see the recordings - you can copy them on your disk
